Patrick Briody is a senior instructor with the Institute for Mindful Leadership. He has led workshops for the leaders of organizations such as Bain Capital, Bechtel, and Capstrat, and co-taught a number of public residential retreats with Janice Marturano. He has been a close associate of the Institute since 2013.
Patrick had a 25 year long career on Wall Street, the majority of that time with Goldman Sachs as a managing director in the technology division. In his roles, Patrick routinely worked with the senior leadership of Goldman chairing committees, coordinating complex efforts across staff with diverse backgrounds, and representing the Firm in critical situations such as discussions with regulators.
Patrick has been a dedicated student of mindfulness practice for over a dozen years, and is also an experienced teacher of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). He received his training in MBSR at the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Healthcare, and Society, University of Massachusetts Medical School.
