As the New Year approaches, we are happy to update the newsletter community on our shared success in launching the Institute’s mindful leadership trainings in China.
Over the course of 2018, our mindful leadership offerings included the groundbreaking Finding the Space to Lead workshop, which has been delivered to individuals and organizations in various fields including education, justice, finance, and consulting. The workshop was welcomed with much interest and positive feedback.
One of our most successful events was leading an Institute for Mindful Leadership Workshop at the Second Annual Conference on Mindfulness Application in China; this is the largest mindfulness event in China, attracting participants from Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Our workshop was received with enthusiasm. Our participants were inspired by this unique training. Many were inspired by the potential for a mindful leadership practice to identify their leadership principles and how they would most like to utilize these to positively influence their work, their family, their organizations, their communities and the world.
Interest and support for mindfulness in China has increased in recent years. We are pleased that our patience and efforts are beginning to bear fruit and we are encouraged by increased public attention on the importance of mindful leadership training and how to best adapt this concise and powerful mind training into the business world in China.
China is a nation with a long and storied history and oriental wisdom. It is our pleasure and honor to introduce the dynamic potential of mindful leadership in China and to lead these efforts with the care and attention needed to assure its positive impact here and beyond.
